Buying vs. Building Software Components!

Most of the time, architects and project teams undergo a tricky exercise of choosing the software tools and components to be used in the project / product during the early stages of design and development.
 
Why do we need these tools and components? The answer is pretty simple. We need them as we don't want to reinvent something. Most of the times you will find the tools and components you need as readymade solutions from thrid party vendors. This blog post throws some light on buying vs building these components.
